The aim of the internationally oriented project is the critical edition of exemplary works of European music theatre from the baroque to the modern era. This is the first time that an academy project has been dedicated exclusively to music theatre and its many forms. Works of French, Italian, German, Scandinavian and Slavic music theatre will be published.

Umfang der Ausgabe

Neun Werkeditionen in Hybridausgaben. Die Partituren erscheinen in Notenbänden, die Kritischen Berichte sind auf Datenträgern beigefügt. Seit 2009 wurden sechs Editionen im Druck sowie eine Online-Edition publiziert. (Stand: 2025)
