The goal of the project is to establish a generic metadata management for scientific data based on an application-oriented metadata description. The implementation will be accompanied by users from different and heterogeneous application areas. The metadata management will support improved data description, sustainable preservation, better retrievability, appropriate reprocessing for further processing, and use of existing data.
