The Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz cordially invites you to the concert "A Rose E'er Blooming" in the Kalkhof-Rose concert hall on November 14 at 7:00 p.m. The concert is part of the "Fridays for Culture" series curated by René Fleck.

"A Rose E'er Blooming" is a musical prayer. It is inspired by medieval, devotional melodies such as "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen" and "Maria durch ein Dornwald ging." Thomas Rückert, an experienced jazz pianist, improvisationally combines the original melodies with various genres such as jazz, gospel, folk, classical Western counterpoint, and traditional Indian and African music. They blend beautifully with the works of religious composers of days gone by, as Rückert approaches the old spiritual melodies very carefully in this album. At the same time, he creates something very moving and completely new. Immerse yourself.

Entry is free. If you enjoyed the concert, we would appreciate a donation. The donation box is located to the right of the entrance to the Kalkhof-Rose concert hall.

We kindly request that you register in advance. Tickets are available here.
