The Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz cordially invites you to the concert "Swing with Liszt – a musical journey from boogie to classical music" with Matthias Heiligensetzer in the Kalkhof-Rose concert hall on November 5 at 7:00 p.m. The event is taking place with the kind support of concert patron Katharina Binz, Minister for Family, Women, Culture, and Integration in Rhineland-Palatinate and Deputy Minister-President of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Matthias Heiligensetzer is a pianist from Munich. He has performed at numerous music festivals, cultural venues, and events in Germany and throughout Europe. At home in jazz and blues, he plays swing and boogie woogie, initially at jam sessions and band performances in the early days, followed by his first major public appearances in the 1990s. He improvises well-known melodies from the jazz era live in a unique way, creating a colorful performance on the keyboard, often with influences from classical music or surprising arrangements of cross-genre pieces.
Today, he performs both as a soloist and with various band projects such as his Boogie Trio or in various rockabilly and rock 'n' roll bands. He is a regular guest on major stages, including the Deutsches Theater Munich.

Entry is free. If you enjoyed the concert, we would appreciate a donation. The donation box is located to the right of the entrance to the Kalkhof-Rose concert hall. Tickets are required.
