The Classes of the Aca­demy

The Academy is divided into three classes: the Class of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Class of Literature and Music, and the Class of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Class of Humanities and Social Sciences

The Class of Humanities and Social Sciences oversees long-term projects. Its main focus is on publishing scientific dictionaries, editing sources and inscriptions, and much more. Electronic media are becoming increasingly important in the implementation of projects and the publication of results.

Class of Literature and Music

The Academy has its own class for literature, which is unique among scientific academies. In 2010, it was expanded to include the field of music.

The main research areas of the Class of Mathematics and Natural Sciences are long-term observations and data collection in the fields of basic biological and geoscientific research, including biodiversity and climate research.
