Workshop Discussions 2026 – Academy Projects in Dialogue

On 5 May 2026, the Academy’s Workshop Discussions will take place for the 15th time. The event is not open to the public.

The Workshop Discussions are a format designed to foster dialogue within the Academy’s projects. Presentations and discussions offer staff working on the Academy’s projects the opportunity for academic and personal exchange, and strengthen the ‘Academy spirit’ at the project level. The format is expressly aimed at all staff and provides an insight into current research projects: diverse and fascinating lectures range from musicology and digital humanities to modern inscriptions.

Following this, pianist Jean Touna will give an exclusive concert in the Kalkhof-Rose Hall at the Academy.

Traditionally, the day concludes with conversation, a barbecue and wine in the Academy garden, hopefully in fine weather.
