Lecture: As always. Only new. The renovation of the Diocesan Museum in Freising and its current appearance

The director of the Diocesan Museum in Freising, Dr. Christoph Kürzeder, presents the concept of the ‘new’ old Diocesan Museum on the Domberg. Since its reopening in 2022, it has been displaying its magnificent collection as well as contemporary art. Kiki Smith's ‘Mary's Mantle Chapel’ was only erected in 2023.

The event is a collaboration between the Academy Centre for the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period (AMZ) and the Academy of the Diocese of Mainz.
