Promoting young researchers

The AMZ aims to specifically support the young researchers involved in the academy projects (students, doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers) by providing opportunities for interdisciplinary and international exchange. It benefits from the cooperation with the Junge Akademie. The Snapshot internships organised with the universities of Trier and Mainz provide students with insights into basic academic research in the early stages of their studies. The AMZ considers its special tasks and the great potential for cooperation with university teaching, which thereby receives an important supplement, to be in conveying well-founded knowledge in the field of humanities, cultural studies, philological and digitally oriented source indexing in the sense of basic research. At the doctoral level, junior fellowships and research stays organised in cooperation with universities and other institutions are central components of the qualification concept at the Mainz Academy. They are also supported by the AMZ.
