Wilhelm Lauer Prize

The foundation, established at the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz, annually awards a prize for an outstanding, original dissertation or research work (e.g. habilitation, cumulative dissertations and habilitations included) in the field of geography, landscape ecology and high mountain research - the research focus of the founder. The work, which is of outstanding quality and completed shortly before the award ceremony, is to be oriented towards the research fields of the Founder and represents a substantial gain in knowledge.
