Further project funding
In 2012, at the request of Prof. Dr. W. Schenk (Geographical Institute of the University of Bonn), the Wilhelm Lauer Foundation sponsored the creation of a travelling exhibition on the founder entitled Wilhelm-Lauer Stiftung:Wilhelm LauerMan - Research - ActionTropical high mountain research and climate classificationExtensive material from Lauer's estate was sifted and evaluated for this purpose. The exhibition was ceremoniously opened on the occasion of the 5th Lauer Lecture on 5 July 2013 in the foyer of the Institute of Geography at the University of Bonn and presented to the public for the first time.
